What Syncetix connects to, and exactly what it can see.

Every connection uses your own account, and you can switch any of them off at any time. Each page below lists what Syncetix reads, what it changes, and what it never touches.

Any supplier: FTP · file link · API

Any supplier that gives you a product file can be connected. You map its columns once. Syncetix only downloads the file; it never writes to the supplier's server.

Tracking inbox

Reading tracking from your email

Many suppliers only send tracking numbers by email, and some refunds and disputes only show up there too. If you connect the inbox those emails arrive in, Syncetix finds them for you.

Reads

  • Shipping emails that match your open orders
  • Refund, dispute and supplier credit emails tied to your orders
  • Only the facts it needs: tracking number, carrier, amount

Changes

  • Nothing. The inbox is opened read-only, so emails aren't even marked as read.

Never

  • Sends, deletes or moves email
  • Stores email bodies. It keeps the facts it found and a reference back to the email.

With Gmail you connect by signing in with Google. Google's screen describes the access as full mail access, because that is the only way Google offers inbox reading to apps like this. Syncetix still opens the mailbox read-only. Any other mailbox connects with an app password, and you can remove the connection in Settings, Tracking at any time.
