Refund Policy
This policy explains when Syncetix issues refunds. It is part of our Terms of Service. Because it is short, please read all of it.
1. Current status: Syncetix is free
Syncetix is in early access and is currently free of charge. We do not bill you, we do not store a payment method, and no money changes hands between you and Syncetix. That means there is nothing to refund today - no refund requests can arise from your use of the service while it remains free.
If you were ever charged anything that appears to come from Syncetix during the free period, that charge is an error. Contact us (see section 4) and we will investigate and correct it.
2. When paid plans launch
Before we charge anyone anything, we will update this page with the then-current refund terms, and the pricing page will link here so you can read them before you subscribe. Continuing on a free plan will never trigger a charge.
We are committing now to the following baseline for paid subscriptions, whenever they exist:
- Cancel anytime. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access until then and are not billed again.
- No partial-period refunds. We do not refund the unused remainder of a billing period after you cancel, except where the law requires it.
- 14-day first-subscription guarantee. If the service materially failed to work for you, we will refund your first paid subscription in full when you ask within 14 days of the first charge.
- Billing errors are always corrected. If we charge you the wrong amount, charge you twice, or charge you after cancellation, we will refund the difference in full - no time limit, no argument.
Any future paid terms may add to these commitments but will not weaken them for an existing subscription mid-term.
3. Third-party fees are not ours to refund
Syncetix connects your account to marketplaces, stores, and suppliers. Fees those parties charge you are not Syncetix charges, and we cannot refund them. This includes, for example:
- eBay fees (listing, final value, or store fees) and any other marketplace fees;
- supplier or distributor charges, including product costs, shipping, and drop-ship fees;
- WooCommerce hosting, plugin, or payment-processing costs.
Refunds for those amounts must be requested from the third party under its own terms. This is also covered in our Terms of Service and, for business customers, the Master Service Agreement.
4. How to ask for a refund
Email support@syncetix.com from the email address on your Syncetix account, so we can verify it is really you. Include the charge date and amount, and a short note on why you are asking. We aim to reply within 5 business days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method.
Please do not open a chargeback with your bank before contacting us - we resolve genuine billing errors without one, and chargebacks are slower for everyone.
5. Your statutory rights are unaffected
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law, including any mandatory withdrawal or cooling-off rights. Where the law gives you more than this policy does, the law wins.
6. Governing law and changes
This policy is governed by the laws of [the operator's jurisdiction - to be confirmed], the same law that governs our Terms of Service.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. Changes that reduce refund rights apply only to charges made after the change takes effect. For how we handle your data when you contact support, see our Privacy Policy.
