What Syncetix can see and do in your eBay account

These are the permissions you approve on eBay's own screen, and what each one is used for.

Reads

  • Your listings, prices and quantities
  • Orders, with the buyer's name and shipping address needed to fulfil them
  • Fees, payouts and transactions, to work out profit
  • Returns, cancellations and payment disputes
  • Promoted Listings campaigns and ad rates
  • Your business policies and seller standards

Changes

  • Creates and updates listings you publish from Syncetix
  • Updates prices and quantities, including setting them to zero when out of stock
  • Adds tracking numbers to orders
  • Ad rates on promoted listings, when you change them in Syncetix

Never

  • Sees or stores your eBay password
  • Moves money: payouts are read, never sent or withdrawn
  • Changes your account details or payment settings
  • Publishes past your selling limit on its own

    You're sent to eBay's own sign-in page.

    Sign in and approve

    eBay shows the permissions listed above. Approve them and you're sent back.

    Orders start arriving. Connect another eBay account the same way if you have one.

    To disconnect

    Remove the store in Syncetix, or revoke access in your eBay account's third-party app settings. Either one stops all access.
